Kristina Hinako (she/her/hers) is a Japanese-American actor and teaching artist from Louisville, KY and Yokosuka, Japan. Her recent professional credits include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (TN Shakespeare Company), Dr. Livesey in Treasure Island (Endstation Theatre), and Miranda in The Tempest (TN Shakespeare Company). She received her BFA in Acting at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Her CCM credits include Brutus in Julius Caesar and The Duchess in Lady Windermere’s Fan and Quince in Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Outside of acting, Kristina has been an Artist Educator at Kentucky Shakespeare, where she performed and taught for K-12 students across the state of Kentucky. She has also been a teaching artist while an apprentice at the Tennessee Shakespeare Company, where she helped teach both the Macbeth Initiative and the Romeo and Juliet Project across high schools in Memphis.

Kristina has also received training at the prestigious Atlantic Acting School, where she studied movement, voice, and practical aesthetics. Some of her renown instructors included Scott Zigler, Anya Saffir, and Kelly Mauer of the SITI Company. When she is not acting, Kristina has her nose stuck in a book, is listening to music, or watching Lord of the Rings for the millionth time.​
